Top Five Fabulous! October 18, 2019 In math, we learned a new game called ‘Ten Tens’. You get 10 dice and you roll it and you try to make 10 in any way that you can. You and your partner have to write 10, tens on your white board and each time you can make 10, you cross out one of the tens on your board. The first person to make 10 tens will win the game and you can try once again. We are learning about friendly numbers because it makes it easier to add and subtract. Top Five Fabulous! October 4, 2019 In science, we did an experiment to test how strong magnets can be and if the force of the magnet will pass through objects. We also made a blueprint for our game using magnets. We had to think of the materials that we would need, draw a picture and write the steps to play the game. We brought recycled materials and have started to build our games! We will play next week and share our games with our buddies. In PE this week, we had a teacher come in to teach us about yoga. We learned some new poses and used our imaginations to go to the jungle, and to the beach. We practiced breathing and calming our bodies and our brains. In math, we read the story, “My Little Sister Ate One Hare”. We noticed that there was an increasing pattern in this book. We organized each of the animals in a graph and we showed an increasing ...
